Your first visit with Dr. Kerner will normally be a 45 minute to one hour consultation. Your medical history will be reviewed, and we will focus on your primary concerns and appropriate surgical procedures to treat these. The area of concern (i.e. face, breast, abdomen, etc.) will be examined, and Dr. Kerner will go over the basics of the procedure. If an insurance predetermination letter is needed, a more in-depth examination will be done, and photographs will be taken. You will be provided with a detailed consultation sheet about the procedure, as well as an estimate and information about pre-op and post-op instructions. Dr. Kerner's goal is for every patient to have a clear understanding of available surgical choices and alternatives and what may be expected postoperatively.

Please call the office at (972) 981-7144 to arrange your appointment.  Generally Dr. Kerner sees patients in consultation on Tuesdays and Thursdays as she is in the operating room on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  However, occasionally there may be an opening in the schedule on a surgery day, depending on her surgery load.  The consultation fee is $125, payable at the time of the visit.  If surgery is performed within one year of the consultation date, the $125 fee will be applied to the surgical fee.
